MSL Pulp Paper

About Us

A leading pulp producer in Europe, MSL Pulp has designed and developed a patented technology to optimize the inherent properties of poplar wood to produce pulp grades with brightness from 30-85, and shopper from 30-57. This technique allows MSL Pulp to adjust main mechanical properties to suit customers’ individual paper products.

Today the Company is proud to have a vast client portfolio around the globe. MSL Pulp has stable and long-term cooperation with customers in EU, and it is also presented in Africa and Middle East. We entered China’s market, and has developed a strong group of customers producing cultural paper, packaging for consumer goods and food, tissues, wallpaper, etc. MSL Pulp also provides pulp mix and use analysis for certain customs to help customers to achieve the right balance between quality and cost.

MSL Pulp has focused its attention on the environment and it is always at the forefront in anticipating these needs.

Environmental Commitment

The chemimechanical process and particularly the technology developed by MSL Pulp is considered environmentally friendly with several unique features:

  • High pulp yields per unit of wood used.
  • Low quantity of water utilized for the production with a high percentage of reutilized water after depuration.
  • Low energy consumption.
  • Bleaching without the use of chlorine.
  • Low load pollution of the water that goes trough depuration.

Coated Paper

MSL Pulp offers high brightness and a smooth surface for excellent visual appearance for coated fine paper (CFP). Low shives content and a good internal bond give good web formation for the CFP.

An excellent smooth surface of the support for the coating can be obtained and the quantity of poplar pulp can be up to 60% of the mix.

Coated Boards

Coated board producers value stiffness, compressibility and printability. MSL Pulp has developed special grades of CMP that offer considerable savings for mid & top layers for box and board makers. Our specific pulp for the mid-layer improves volume and unique impregnation yields additional strength for top layers. Coated board & paper producers can benefit from our high opacity and low shive content by using up to 30% of our CMP to replace chemical pulp in feedstock.

Tissue

Optimal brightness, softness and volume can be achieved using MSL Pulp CMP pulp for tissue production. Tissue producers can cut costs using 5-15% of our pulp and achieve improved mechanical prosperities and softness. MSL Pulp’s TCF bleaching process gives very limited yellowing which is about 30% less than a spruce breed hi-yield pulp.

Printing and writing paper

MSL Pulp’s bleached aspen chemimechanical pulp contributes valuable properties to printing & writing papers. The high brightness obtained through patented MSL Pulp Processes yield TCF CMP and allows large quantities to be used in paper production. The low shive content plus the renowned fineness of aspen fiber gives an extremely smooth surface, comparable to woodfree papers with greater opacity. For high bulk papers, chemimechanical pulp can be mixed up to 70% in production with less yellowing than the more common and expensive hi-yield spruce pulp.
